Trump Million Dollar Invitational
Adds Geoff Mangum to the Team:
Seeks Players Looking to Win a Cool Million

Donald Trump

"I'm a very fine putter."

Geoff Mangum

"You can get a lot better."

Donald Trump is "Business," and Donald Trump is "Golf." Multi-billionaire Trump has entered the golf world in a big way with Trump International as his flagship property in West Palm Beach, Florida, in 1999, and lately with three other Trump Nationals: Westchester, NY; Bedminster, NJ; and Los Angeles. His courses are the most expensive tracks in golf. He spent over $60 million on a single hole in LA. Golf Magazine has dubbed him "King of Clubs."

The Donald is an avid golfer with the capability to boom an occasional 300-yard drive, and says of his game: "I'm a very fine putter." Playing with Payne Stewart in the 1993 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Donald aced the 12th hole at Spyglass Hill! He's even written a book of the best tips he's gotten over the years:

This year, The Donald offers something new: the Trump Million Dollar Invitational to be held at Trump International at Raffles Resort, Canouan Island, the Grenadines, where Trump Golf manages the property. The event pits 100 hand-chosen golfers to vie for the top-place prize of $1 million in a 54-hole strokeplay that winnows the field to 10, followed by a shootout for the top spot. The 10th-place finisher earns $20,000. The TMDI takes place May 21-26, 2006, and then will be aired on ESPN July 2 and ESPN2 on July 12, in broadcasts syndicated to over 400 million households around the world.

Event Director Andy Batkin of Innovative Media Solutions has asked Geoff Mangum to help with the event. Widely recognized as the most knowledgeable putting instructor in the game, Mangum is also extensively connected throughout the golf industry to teachers, players, and others. Last year Mangum served as a consultant to Big Stakes Golf in helping identify potential players, and this year he acts in the same capacity for the Trump organization.

The TMDI offers invaluable exposure to golfers seeking to break into the higher echelons of professional golf. As part of the telecast, special segments will showcase individual golfers to millions of viewers around the world, explaining their talents and their story.

The TMDI is open to all golfers 18 years of age or older and who do not have membership status on the PGA, LPGA, Champions, Nationwide, or European Tours.ÊEntries must be submitted between January 10 and April 10, 2006. A $5,000 fee is payable upon application, is refundable in the event the player is not invited to play, and upon acceptance, a final payment of $10,000 as entry fee is required. Some sponsorship assistance is available as well as help with syndication of sponsorship. For complete details, visit the website:
