Geoff Mangum of the PuttingZone Teaches Swiss PGA

Solothun, Switzerland  Ð At the invitation of Volker Krajewski (President), Stefan Gort (Vice President), and Paris Buckingham (Further Education President) for the Swiss PGA, Geoff Mangum spent a full day training approximately 60 members of the organization in his PuttingZone system of the four skills for instinctive putting.

Geoff Mangum at Golf Club Wylihof, 14 Oct 2008

About 60 PGA teaching and playing pros attended the day-long intensive training at the Swiss PGA National Training Center, Golf Club Wylihof, outside Solothun, Switzerland. The program covered reading putts, aiming the putter and setup, stroke dynamics, and instinctive distance control or touch.  Geoff MangumÕs instruction for putting is unique in that other teachers are limited almost exclusively to teaching some version of stroke, whereas Mangum approaches putting skills comprehensively and combines the best of golf history with modern neuroscience for targeting and stroke movement processes in the brain and body for all four putting skills.

Paris Buckingham, Further Education President, Swiss PGA

Paris Buckingham said: ÒGeoff Mangum's presentation displayed great positive energy and expertise for a very successful and positive further education day for our Swiss PGA members at Wylihof GC. The feedback from the members was 100% positive and he certainly gave them all something to think about and plenty of new ideas to help them with their coaching and teaching.Ó

Geoff Mangum is following up his teaching with the Swiss PGA by teaching further clinics at Simon Hilton's PuttingZone Academy located in Gams, Switzerland for teaching players and for training new PuttingZone Coaches and players. Mangum said, ÒThis is the third year I have been teaching the top teachers and players in Switzerland, and I am impressed with the organization and sophistication of the Swiss PGA in its educational programs. I appreciate the chance to be a part of their excellent teaching and hope my contribution is worthwhile.Ó
